Forgotten Saga begins when four young adventurers appear in Gorax Village, in the eastern Nubroier.
Player led his party here searching for a great adventure that will bring glory, gold, and growth. Their names were first recognized when the young neophytes retrieve local millionaire Madol's treasure. Before soon, they were cheated by a beautiful girl they met at a bar and lose their newly found confidence and esteem. But the party continues on to experience amazing adventures, and they grow physically and spiritually.
One day, the player was asked by a famous astrologist Pai to deliver a letter to a rogue captain named Redik. A seemingly simple mission became a turning point for the player's destiny. The adventurer encountered that cheater girl from bar on the way to Redik, and for no apparent reason they were imprisoned by Adelbart, the right-hand man of Nubroier Governor.
Breaking out of the prison, Player found out about Nubroier Governor's sinister plans, and the mysterious girl joined Player to stop it. The Player's party set out to find Altzheimer, Wiseman of Nubroier, for his advice. The Wiseman told them to find Staff of Ghirarkhan, a legendary artifact, in order to stop Nubroier Governor's evil ambition.
